Will Smith is thinking of going into politics

The recent developments in America have led  Smith to consider a life in politics. He did not specifically say what incidents he was most outraged at; however, his remarks follow a succession of black men being shot by police officers.

The actor told the Hollywood reporter that the actions of the past year has left him so ‘incensed’ that he could not sleep.

He added: ‘As I look at the political landscape, I think that there might be a future out there for me. They might need me out there.’

Smith has also shown support for gay marriage and many of his films carry clear political overtones. In his latest film, Concussion, due to be released in the US on Christmas Day. He plays Bennet Omalu, a real life forensic pathologist who struggles against the National Football League. Who attempts to suppress his research of brain damage suffered by professional players in the sport.

Many Hollywood stars have announced that they are going into politics or have successfully entered politics. Most recently Kanye West announced he would be running for President.
