Nikki Bella Reveals She Has No Help While Artem Chigvintsev Prepares For Dancing With The Stars

Nikki Bella has been enjoying the bliss of being a new mom to her one-month-old son Matteo. However, she has had to adjust to living like a single mom already.

Artem Chigvinstev has been rehired as a choreographer and dancer for Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately, the couple lives in Arizona and Artem has to travel to California for rehearsals and eventually the show.

At any other time, the Bella twin would be able to hire help for the baby but in this time of COVID-19, that’s not a risk the mom is willing to take.

This leaves her having to look after Matteo by herself most of the time.

She explained on the Bellas podcast: ‘Artem is on Dancing With the Stars and that has left me alone with Matteo … and because of COVID, too, I don’t have any help. It’s just me. I do get a little help from Brie and Daniel, which, they’ve been amazing.’

This is an immense absence because Chigvintsev takes being a hands-on dad to a new level.

Nikki told People Magazine: ‘I don’t know how I would do all this without him. He’s very attentive. He will wake up at any moment if I need a break. He’ll hold Matteo, change diapers, anything I need. He never complains. He’s always helpful. It’s just really cute because there’ll be times where I’m like, ‘No. I need to swaddle him and have him sleep in the bassinet,’ because Artem, he would have Matteo sleep on him all day and all night. He’s so obsessed with it.’

She went on to say: ‘He’s been amazing. I have to say, he’s more than what I expected. I didn’t know what to expect because we both are first-timers. I was someone who so desperately wanted to be a mom and I knew he wanted to be a dad, but I don’t think as soon as I did.’

Although it’s hard for Nikki to do it on her own, they don’t regret making the decision for Artem to return to the show. The two came to a mutual decision that he should have a job that he loves doing and the Russia native couldn’t be happier to be back on set.
