While former child star Lindsay Lohan has become more well known for her rough transition into adulthood than she has for her acting abilities.  Lohan began her career in the spotlight in 1989 as a child model with the Ford Modeling Agency.  From there, she appeared in a string of commercials including an appearance alongside Bill Cosby in a popular Jell-O commercial. Lohan’s breakout role came with Disney’s 1998 remake of the classic film The Parent Trap. Lohan went on to star in several other Disney films and did not receive her first lead role independent of the company until 2004’s Mean Girls.  Over the last several years Lohan’s starring roles have been slim, but the now 28 year old star’s accomplishments are nothing to take lightly.  Here is a list of the highest grossing Lindsay Lohan movies of all-time.

5. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen $38,494,100

The 2004 comedy film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen featured Lohan in the role of a young girl with dreams of becoming a celebrity.  Lohan’s character Mary Elizabeth Steppe (Lola) moves from New York City to New Jersey with her family.  The film follows Lola as she adjusts to her new surroundings.

Released in 2005, Herbie: Fully Loaded stars Lohan as Maggie Peyton, the youngest member of an avid car racing family.  As a gift from her father, Maggie received a special car, Herbie, who helps Maggie win races.

Since its release in 2004, the film Mean Girls has become a classic.  The film follows Lohan’s character, Cady Heron, as she transitions from a new student to a “mean girl.”  The film deals with the struggles of high school aged female students who and their attempts to fit in with the popular group.
