Andre Braugher was an American actor and comedian. His roles included the series Homicide: Life on the Street, Thief (2006), Men of a Certain Age, House, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, BoJack Horseman, in voice performance; and The Good Fight, and the films Glory (1989), Striking Distance, Primal Fear, Get on the Bus, City of Angels, Frequency, Duets, Poseidon (2006), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Stephen King’s The Mist, Passengers (2008), Salt (2010), The Gambler (2014), Spirit Untamed, in voice role; and She Said.

He was the son of Sally and Floyd Braugher. He was married to actress Ami Brabson, until his death, with whom he had three children.

Andre’s paternal grandfather was Charley William Braugher (the son of Frank Braugher and Mary Gunn). Charley’s parents were from Coahoma County, Mississippi. Frank was the son of John Brough/Braugher and Eliza Berk.

Andre’s paternal grandmother was Willie Coleman (the daughter of Charles J. Coleman and Annie Cole). Willie’s family was also from Coahoma County.
